Adding a third exhibition to VAST's schedule this year required much thought and planning by the VASTÂ leadership team. Weaving the technology of the internet into the fabric of VAST exhibition culture required equal consideration and execution. I am pleased with the results of our efforts; this regional exhibition is a critical part of the VAST mission. I want to extend appreciation to Mark Smith; the 125-Mile Exhibition Committee; and the VAST Advisory Board, Executive Board, Executive Committee, and Staff for their support of this new initiative. Congratulations to all for a job well done. This exhibition has been called "soulful" and "cerebral" - I believe both terms are appropriate. Enjoy!

The 1st Annual 125-Mile Exhibition is an open expression of our region's art community. The works of various media and techniques are crafted beautifully together into a dynamic patchwork with North Texas flair. Thank you VAST, artists, and especially Mark Smith for composing such a wonderful community "quilt" and creating another opportunity for local, visual artists to be seen.
