Come hear Amy Schnoll's story on April 2, 2025 at the VAST Monthly Meeting.
This talented watercolor artist will present paintings in two of her series on aging.
She will discuss the significant changes we experience physically, emotionally and spiritually as we grow older.
She will also discuss her portrait paintings and demonstrate the final details of a watercolor portrait, specifically how she paints the hair and eyes.
Her subjects are young men and women from the university town of Denton. Using her imagination and knowledge of the aging process, she conceptualizes these subjects as they might look if 40-60 years older.
She will also bring a painting of her "Aunt Lil at ages 20, 60 and 100.
In her newest series, which are smaller paintings, 15" x 15" she paints women over the age of 70. She will discuss how in our later years of life we can find value and joy in life. Now 76 years young, Amy Schnoll doesn't want to be seen as invisible and ignored by others because of her age.
You will NOT want to miss this one!!!
