Missy Finger, Co-Owner of PDNB Gallery in Denton- "Art in My Rear-View Mirror"  

Missy has partnered with her husband Burt Finger since the late 1980's in several artistic endeavors and for the past 30 years in Dallas. Most recently they have moved their gallery from Dallas to Denton still specializing in photography, but also exhibiting paintings, works on paper, ceramics and sculpture.

Missy will be sharing information about what a gallerist looks for in the art they take in, how to market your art and  to connect with galleries/museums, etc.

Members: Remember to bring your art for the Mini-Show and Creative Stretch!

During VAST’s monthly meetings, members are invited to bring an art piece to show and compete for cash prizes. The artworks are voted on (anonymously) by the membership during the meeting, and at the meeting’s conclusion both first and second place winners areannounced.

 

First place is awarded a $25 cash prize and second place earns $15. No prior registration is required and there is no cost to enter. Those artists winning first place throughout the year are automatically entered for the Artist of the Year competition in May.

There is NO open mini-show during May. That month is reserved for the Artist of the Year competition.
