Workshop Information
Day One. Experiment with Ink Painting
Discover the unique beauty of ink painting in this workshop! Learn to use the ancient tools—ink, brush, rice paper, and watercolor paper—to explore ever-changing visual effects, from bold, fluid brushstrokes to soft, ethereal washes. Participants will be given a foundation in materials and techniques while learning to embrace spontaneity and tell their story in a loose, imaginative way. The workshop will also introduce how to incorporate ink painting in mixed-media work. Come ready to experiment and create something entirely your own!
Day Two. Creative Cyanotype
Play with the magic of cyanotype, one of photography's oldest and most enchanting processes—no darkroom or camera required! This workshop covers the basics of materials, paper coating, and exposure. Participants will learn to create prints using natural objects, transparencies, or drawings, exposed under UV light or sunlight. Throughout the workshop, participants will experiment with creative application of the Cyanotype process to create unique art prints with surprising visual effects.
Snacks will be provided for both days.
Please bring your own quick lunch and personal drink(s).
We hope you join us for two exciting days of exploring creativity in unique ways.
