About this event
Junanne Peck
Monotype and the Spontaneous Mark - Printmaking
Join Junanne Peck, interdisciplinary artist, with printmaking as her primary art form. Peck is a demo artist for Akua Ink. She is a seasoned educator and Teaching Artist in the DFW area. Junanne is a TXO (Texas Original Artist) and was selected by the Texas Commission on The Arts. Her works are featured in solo and invitational exhibits.
In this class you will have a basic introduction to the use of the etching press and pin press in creating multi-layered monotypes. Artists will produce a printing plate from an original drawing or design and will become familiar with printmaking processes, tools and techniques using non-toxic waterbased Akua inks. Drypoint and stencils will be explored. Emphasis will be on color, visual texture, line and composition. We will explore TetraPac printing.
Supplies will be provided and included in the workshop price. Participants will only need to bring an apron and notebook for taking notes.
